Why I Love Being a 2L

[1] I only have class 4 days a week. And most days I don't have my first class until 9am.

[2] It's much easier to avoid your asshole classmates when you aren't walking from class to class all day with them like a freaking herd of cattle.

[3] I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of gunners/slackers that didn't return to school this fall. Lots of classmates transferred or failed out. Sucks for them.

[4] My frat-tastic classmates have stopped hitting on me and moved on to cute 1Ls.

[5] After fall semester I'll be HALF WAY done with law school hell. Yay :)

Back to School...

Summer was so nice. I was happy again.

Now it's over.... what a bummer.

At the end of the year, I will be a bridesmaid for the fourth time. Its fun. I love it. Mr doesn't because it's always super expensive, but I'm just happy that my friends are happy so it's all good.

This time, the blushing bride is one of my oldest friends - we go back to elementary school. And since I'm getting better at this whole bridesmaids thing every time I do it, I'm trying to switch it up this year and get her something creative as a gift.

Things I DON'T Miss About Law School

1. Waking up at the crack of dawn every morning.
2. Reading, and reading, and briefing... ughh.
3. BEING AROUND ASSHOLES ALL DAY.

My First Internship

I got a phone call from the Career Services Department today. Apparently, a local criminal defense firm is looking for a 1L to help with a high profile murder case involving a juvenile defendant.... and the CS center recommended me! They asked if they could pass my info onto the firm and, of course, I said yes! So excited :)

Best Ever Chocolate Chip Cookies

CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

1/2 cup butter

1/2 cup white sugar

1/3 cup packed brown sugar

1/2 cup peanut butter

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 egg

1 cup all purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup rolled oats

1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips



1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Cream together butter, vanilla, and egg in medium bowl. Add flour, baking soda, and salt; mix. Add oats and chocolate chips; stir until evenly distributed. Drop by tablespoons onto lightly greased cookie sheet.

3. Bake 10-12 minutes.
